Sharp watch at a decent price. Jul 17, 2007

I've been looking for an alternative to the rather expensive Movado and Rado tungsten watches. Rado's ceramic was not living up to my expectations and Movados were just too darn expensive. When I read of this watch, I was impressed. However, I was also leery of hastily constructed knockoffs.
Initial impressions: The watch is a darn good-looking design, rectangular and very shiny. The sapphire face covers virtually the entire case. I've exposed the watch to moisture occasionally with no fog or ill effects. Setting the time/date takes some practice, as the stem stops are vague. Telling time with the 4 points takes some practice as well. I had 2 links removed to match my wrist. Fits very snugly. The band is made of I-shaped stainless steel links with tungsten carbide polished rectangles. The I-shaped links have scratched up to a fine patina, whereas the tungsten blocks are pristine. I've had a few compliments already.
The fit and finish of the product is less than precisely milled Swiss Watches. The case back of the watch is slightly uneven, so the seam is asymmetric (slightly). The clasp, made of stainless steel, has a small dent in it, not noticeable normally. The brush patterns on the stainless parts are somewhat rough.
Pros: price, value, lustre
Cons: Mediocre fit and finish
