ALMOST perfect Feb 19, 2009

I ordered this combo after spending several days scouring the internet for what I thought would be the right tools to help me with my fledgling watch collection. The day this tool ensemble arrived I took it home and immediately resized three watches. It was GREAT! I have rediculously small wrists for a man and was dreading the trip to the jeweler mostly out of embarrassment. Well, I got to fuss around with the watches in the privacy of my own home and make all the tweaks I wanted. THE WATCH TOOL KIT IS PERFECT FOR THE BEGINNER. It contains exactly the tools you will need. The pin remover was flawless. I used all the tools except the screwdrivers. STOP LOOKING and just buy this combo.

I recieved this product and it exceeded my expectations. Love the box and feel the tools are excellent quality. Used them just today to size my Invicta Reserve watch I just purchased. No issues what so ever. I know with the many watches I will own in the future and my wrist size that this will be one of many easy tasks I will be able to accomplish on my own without having to find and pay a jeweler. Don't hesitate on this one. I love it.

PROS:
The included tools make removing and reinstalling friction pins in watchband links quick and simple. Another included tool makes it a snap for removing watch bands. This is especially convenient for watches that require removing the band when its time to change the battery.
CONS:
The friction pin removal tool/combo watchband holder cannot accept today's wider watch bands. Instead, you have to use the included all-metal mallet, the watchband holder block and one of the two included pin removal punches. The included diagrams are self-explanatory but it would be helpful if more detailed instructions were included with the kit or available online. The price of the kit is a little high compared to the cost of other tool kits.

The waterproof watch case-back opener is excellent but can be bought separately for less than $10. The pin removal tools and screw drivers are nothing special. They work but are so rough and typical Asian manufacture - mine came with oil, dust and as if packed in a hurry in a very untidy factory. You get what you pay for. In fairness the boxes were nice - but for this price they should have supplied tweezers and loupes.
