Fit for purpose - great value Feb 17, 2008

Reasonably-priced (under 70-bucks including mailing) for double watch winder. Double-winder (with only one motor) has 4 settings on its IC-chip. The chip does work -- knows the differences between the settings, (e.g. rotate 10 minutes/rest 90 minutes or rotate 1 hour/rest 3 hours.)
I am using Setting-C: rotate 30 min, rest 3 hours, and it does the job for my Concord (thin dress-watch, about 8mm thickness) and Omega (dive-watch thickness) which were firmly held in place during rotations. [The manufacturer provided a square attachment to the watch holder. This is necessary to keep a thin watch taut and snugly attached to the watch-holder.]
The winder's housing is similar to that used on computer speakers, not as pleasing to the eye as my previous winder (in cherry and had three layers of lacquer). My previous winder ($150 more expensive!!) also had 2 motors the extra cost still resulted in both motors burning out in less than 16 months!!!
This double-watch winder is fit-for-purpose. [It appears it can provide service for 2-plus years. I will post an update if it does not and the motor burns out before Dec 2009.]

Not A Durable Winder Dec 29, 2008
By Benjamin Toh I bought 2 double auto watch winders from Amazon. I've got no complaints about its functions, basically it works well to keep automatic watches wound. But be warned, product durability is poor. Both my winders "died" within 6 mths of usage.

watch watcher Aug 17, 2008
By David Keans A good inexpensive auto 2 watch winder. After 8 months or so its still going strong on one of the three or four settings. No problems. Just be gentle when removing watches and replacing them into the winder or when handling the unit.

2 Watch Winder Feb 24, 2008
By J. French Product was received new as described, and works very well with two heavy Seiko divers. I may buy another winder as my collection is growing, and this inexpensive winder works fine. Purchased 2-10-08.

Works as described Feb 01, 2008
By George A. Riemer This watch winder is simple in operation -- just decide on what run/stop timer pattern is best for your watch, and turn it one. No complaints, and it runs almost silently. If you have an automatic watch, keeping it running is actually better for it then letting it run down. Plus, you don't have to re-set the watch when you next use it.
